A Formal Introduction

Hello, my name is Jessica!

I created this blog and just jumped right in. So I figured I would give an introduction.
My name is Jessica. Most know me as Jess. I live in Texas. I am a Training Supervisor for a Telecommunications company. I am on a journey to a new me. I am happily married to the love of my life. My three dogs and cat are my world. I love going on adventures, good food, and laughing.

That is pretty much me in a nutshell.

So... Why do this?

I briefly touched on it in my first post. I want to serve as an inspiration mostly but, I also want to document the journey I am on to better my life. That being a journey of Keto, my adventures, and my life. I want to engage with others. I want to meet wonderful and inspiring people. I have a lot of plans and hopes for this blog.

Sharing my goals

I have always wanted to start a blog. It is on my bucket list. So, why not share my bucket list? I will only share my top 5 because, I could seriously go on and on.

1. Run a Spartan Race (currently training for one in October- Happy Birthday to me!)
2. Travel to at least 3 different countries (1 down and 2 more to go)
3. Go Skydiving
4. Start a Blog (in progress now)
5. Road Trip across the USA.

Why are these goal important to me and why it matters to you

These goals are important to me because they are my motivation. I want to run a Spartan Race...so I am training for it. I want to travel...which takes money. So I am working my butt off to save for that.  Each thing on this list has good reasoning behind it and has special meaning to me. So, next thing. You are probably thinking, "Jessica, why do YOUR goals matter to ME?" It matters for 1 simple reason.
What motivates you?!
What pushes you in life to do the things you have dreamed of? What is stopping you from achieving those goals?  Is it fear, lack of belief, or whatever other reason? All of these are all MENTAL. It is only in your head and you can overcome it. You are stronger that you think no matter what!  I recently watched an amazing video on a YouTube channel "Video Advice" called "The Secret to Self-Motivation" by Mel Robbin. I will link both the channel and the video below. Its about the 5 second rule. No, not the drop food on the floor and pick it up one but, the 5 seconds it takes to just do something. I strongly encourage you to watch it and make an assumption for yourself.

In parting, I leave you with some questions to ask yourself or even better leave a comment below.

What is something you have always wanted to do?
What motivates you?
What stops you from obtaining this goal?
Do you want it bad enough to change?

Until next time,
J
